This is a WIP, my first painting after 7
or so years. So I am using the reference photo as a general guide, not
intending on an exact likeness. Seems lately that I am obsessed with
golden fields with round hay bales as I've been planning on doing a
larger painting with them in it also. But it's no wonder I like them so
much, it's a common sight here in Texas. I love the blue sky, with the
golden shimmer of the field and hay and the green grass. Limited
color palette, 5 colors plus titanium white and ivory black. Oil on canvas, 16 x 20 |
